The morning run went very well and I thought that their state xc course is less difficult thsn mine. I stayed with the first pack for the hole time except for 800 meters my night run was hard I think I was very tried and couldn't keep a good pace I finish hard and like the shake I got after the run.

I ran on a trail and rsn it alone except for the last two miles I also fell 3 times. Ran 8 miles all together.  Feels really good after a nap.

i went to lava hot springs and went on a long run with continuous hills. ran most by my self then with 3 miles to go i ran with Dakota and Sara. then went tubing on the river with the Cross Country team. after we had lunch went to the pool and swam for an hour or so.

AM: ran at peace gardens this morning felt good running until the last mile i got very tired and the back of my knee started to hurt. ran with Chris and Bill. then ran shoots with a light Jog after with Dakota.

AM: I ran 8miles at 7:30 this morning and it had 2 hills but flat most way and it was on gravel. it was VERY humid and windy. i felt good and had no pain in the hip or back of my knee. i t was hard to stay motivated to run at a faster pace because i had no one there to push me. it took me about 1 hour to run 8 miles and i plan to run 6-8 tonight to catch up on missing yesturday because i was comming home from salt lake.

PM: ran to Bens baseball game in town. was hot not as windy and bugs were bad. i did have pain in my hip tonight I stretched it out when i got to the game. ran 4.5 miles. glad i got it done makes me feel better about tomorrow only needing 10 miles insted of 15.

I ran to the complex was flat most way had one large hill I had to run up at the end of the run. then ran past my moms work which was down hill most way. on the way home I stopped at my grandma house and talked then ran home.

Great! "Started at the bottom, now were here." This has been a good start for your base build up. Let's go to 60 this week and then we will go down in mileage next week. Be finding a 5K or 10K for the 4th, make plans and get registered. Until you get a garmin I don't know how you are measuring your mileage, but www.gmap-pedometer can help. Try it sometime. Stay positive and get a quick start to the week, so you do not have to play catch up the last few days.

Yes I did find a 5K by me for the 6th of july the 4th ones are father away so i thought of going to the closest one. thats good for me on 60 miles I can mange that well. i did find a whatch that is a nike sportsband that gives me splits up to 10 times and gives me distance. so i hope that works. thank you for keeping me motivated its kinda hard to run since i run alone but with you talking it helps Alot KEEP doing that :) "Started at the bottom, now were here" you keep me updated of workouts your XC team did

i went for a run after church. my family went to our grandma Loeckers house to have pancakes!!! i started my run from her house down a hill to get to the highway where i started for home. felt really good about the run until the 4th mile i got really tired and wanted to walk BUT i didnt. I kept going, then at the 5 mile i ran in mud becuase i had rain last night. it was very hard to keep a good pace because all the mud was on the bottom of my shoes. i finished at 7 miles to my house. it was a good run but i had a hard time keeping myself motived today. tonight i might go for a short run at the complex to put 9 miles in for the day. I miss the track at Utah so much better to run on than mine here oh well a track is a track!!

Today I waited for the rain to stop so i could run. i ran at 2pm it was very humid hard to breath in. ran around town to make miles.did 2 miles at the track, ran 2 miles to school then ran to the park and did 4 loops ( about 2miles) then ran back to the track and ran around till i got 8 even miles. nothing hurts today i feel good except breathing is hard because of all the humidity. glad to get done!! tomorrow not suposed to rain or be as humid :)

AM: ran to the track in town from my house then back home to make 9 miles. to the track had a up hill that lasted 1/2 mile then on the way home down hill strait for 3/4 the run. I feel really good but I am having a hard time trying to find diffrent corses that match the miles I want to do. maybe tonight i might run down and back to my neighbors that would be a mile round trip.

Good work. If you are doubling today,(getting a second workout in the same day) go for 20-30 minutes is all. You are on target with your daily mileage to hit the goal of 60 miles this week with a light run tonight. Tomorrow run 15 minutes to get warmed up, then fartlek for 20 minutes--1 minute medium hard followed by 1 minute easy. The medium hard should not quite be at race pace yet. You will cover maybe 250-275 meters in that minute and maybe 150-200 meters on the easy minute. Cool down for about 20 minutes or until you hit 8 miles for the entire workout. Remember what you do now is what lays the foundation of the entire season.

yes I have to bring my siblings into the pool so I can run for 30 mins. then cool down in the pool for 30mins. thanks for the workout i will do that tomorrow

I ran 15 mins. for a warm up then did a farklet 1 min. easy 1 min. medium for 20 mins. for the cool down i ran for only 10 mins because it was VERY hot and humid. i was feeling very drained so i went and got a glass of water. tonight i did an easy run about 2 miles. ending my day with 7 miles. i wanted 8 but for 100 degree day plus high humidity i think i did ok. tomorrow i am going to the gym and running on a treadmill for part of my workout.

AM: i got in a run at 7:30am. between rain showers. not humid and was lots cooler than yesterday!!! i ran to town then to the complex. after i got to the complex i turned around and ran back home equaling 9 miles. I feel sore today and tired probably from yesterday. i think i should bring more than one water bottle on hot days.

AM: I woke up early today to run becuase it gets too hot out before 9 or 10 am. at 7am i ran around my 4mile section twice equaling to 8 miles. I dont like repeating running routs but there are lots of hills and it very challenging. i got a team practise every monday at 9 so we can be in some shape for the season!! most of them said they will come. i am treating my blisters they started hurting 2 days ago but i got New Skin witch Bill had Dakota use and it is helping alot.

i got up extra early around 6 am to run. i ran into town 3miles, then around my town 3.5 miles then back home 3miles. it was a nice easy run my legs are VERY tired it was hard to keep running. i'm glad i am done for the day its supposed to get up to 95 with humidity today!! AM: i got up at 8am. and ran 6 miles by myself. then at 9:30 i drove into twon and ran with my XC team and did a 5k. felt really good to run with my team again. AM: I ran when Matthew was doing swim lessons. 30min. at around  8:30 min. pace ending my morning run with 3.4 miles. I felt lots better than yesturday but still need to drink lots of water. I had about 6hrs. last night better than the 3 to 4 the night before. Plan to run 8 miles tonight.

PM: Tonight i ran around the section with my sister on her bike to have someone to be with. On the 3rd mile i turned and ran the other direction for one mile then turned around and then ran home. ending at 6.5 for the evening run!! My heel and shins are starting to hurt so I am going to ICE for 15min. on and off for the rest of the night. hope to be better tomorrow.

just run once Thursday, about 5 miles or less. 4 miles on Friday ( 1 mile warm up, 2 miles speed changes, 1 mile cool down)

Saturday get to the race with plenty of time to warm up. 2 miles with some good strides. Race strong...Do a long cool down after to complete your weekly mileage. Have fun at the race. You have worked hard and your times will start dropping. Stay out of the comfort zone in the race, always pushing. Don't be satisfied to be the first female, set your goal to beat the guys. High goals give high results. Set a few goals going into the race and achieve them.

i ran 4 miles today and tomorrow i will do that! thank you. i did get a race its in crofton where my grandpa lives so i can be there early and start a warm up. i can tell my paces in my runs are getting better and can't wait for my season to get hear.

I did a easy day before race run, because i run in the crofton race tomorrow morning. i did 1mile warm up then 2mile speed changes then to finnish the night i did 1mile cool down. now to drink lots of water and sleep tonight for the run tomorrow can't wait!

AM: i ran in the Crofton Freedom Run today. i started with a 1.5 warm-up and stretching, then during the race i ran with a girl i know Danny and stayed with her the whole time we were pushing each other right to the finish. it was VERY windy this morning but my time was one of the best runs i have done. i feel in shape and nothing really hurts just a little more sore than normal.after the race i jogged to my grandpas house and back i think thats about a mile from where the start/finish was. I was 3 strides away from being 1st in my division. i will run 4 miles tonight to finish my mileage for the week!!

it was TO hot and humid to run outside even in the early morning so i went into town and went to REPS Gym. i did 3.5 treadmill 2.5 running elliptical 1.0 on treadmill then 3.0 on bike/ core exercise.

AM: it was still VERY humid today but i needed to get a run in early. i ran 6 miles in the country. Its hard to breath in this air and i hope that soon the humidity levels go down. i can't breath in my nose at all and im getting dehydrated lots easier than in Utah.

AM: i woke up at 5:30 to run i think its getting too early but it was the coolest part of the day. and by the time i got done it was already 80 degrees. i"m gettin frustrated with miles. i can't get as many a day as i want. i guess i might have to run at 10 at night :( oh well.

Do what you need to to get in your mileage. I have had to run in Arizona and Florida in high heat and high heat with humidity. You can do it. The mind is a very powerful thing. Go into each workout with the right mind set. The whole workout will be better. Tell yourself that when I run in this heat it will make me stronger and when I start XC I will be ready for any type of weather conditions. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids during the day. Sweating a bunch can be healthy too. Flush out some toxins. Be strong. When you go to the line know that you are prepared because you did not use excuses during training. Getting ready now is what makes champions.

ok I will start thinking more positive and do more running in the heat. But i still have to listen to what my mother says so it might be a challenge. Running is gettting easy on the tredmile so i'm thinking I will pick up speed from 8.5 to 9.0 and see how that goes. thank you so much!!

Good,as we say at home,"If mama isn't happy, no one is happy." Treadmill is fine and it does help keep your pace steady and easy to control your tempo runs. Beware though, the treadmill can trick you into thinking you are in better shape than you are. It is easier to run in a controlled environment and when you go outside you wonder why you can't run as fast. Mix in both inside and outside as much as you can. Also, it is a good idea to bump the incline up to 1-2 percent to make it more equal effort to running outside. Have fun and hit your mileage this week. You are to add 5 miles to last weeks. We will be adding some hills and speed to next week. Can you find another race close by in the next couple of weeks?

I have been trying to run outside in the mornings then evening or late afternoon runs inside on the tred. I have found a race in yankton on saturday. If my dad can get me there i will certainly be in that. But that would be the last one i could do since there will be no more by me. Next week i will be at a camp. From mon. To fri. They gave me permission to run in the mornings. But only for 30 mins. But i can get 4 miles out of that a day which is better than no miles. My mom also said i cant go run in the dark. So that cancels 10pm work outs 5:30 am is the earliest and 9:30 is lattest.

AM: i ran half way into town turned around and ran pasted my house and to the bridge andfter i made it to the bridge i needed to get ready for the busy day. hope i can get a run in tonight.

PM: i ran late this afternoon because there was a cold front going through and it was 76 out. so i ran 5 miles around the section then added a mile to cool down as it was getting hotter out. my pace throughout varied but average of 7.8 per mile. i was please with that. I'm learning to run through mental walls and in heat.

Yesterday i felt horrible i had leg cramps all day and when i tried to run i felt pretty bad and i almost blacked out once. today i felt lots better. i still don't feel the best but i got 2 miles in. I have a camp this week being a camp counselor!!! it starts tomorrow and goes until friday. i am able to run for 30 mins. in the mornings and sometimes in the afternoon. i hope to get 3 to 4 miles a day at camp. then next week i will do 60 to 65 miles.  glad i got at least 2 miles in.

OK!!!!! i finally could go on a long run and keep a fair pace of 8. last couple weeks have been horible to find time to run!!!! but i am finally free the rest of summer and plan to run morning and nights until school starts in 15 days!!!! idk if im ready to go back or not i loved my summer traveling to utah and Decoraha.

So for my run tonight i started at 6:30 and ended at 7:15 i started out pretty fast and was doing ok then about 4.5 miles in i hit a wall and just got very slow. so i got to my community complex got some water and rested for about 2 mins. then started home and was going faster again. i was 1mile form home and started to feel bad but i pushed through it.

I have blisters comming again under my feet and they are hurting again. and not running for 3 days and eatting like a pig was NOT good for me. i need to stay with running every day because i could tell i was allready getting out of shape. i  also need to start doing my core i stoped when i came back from Utah and really want to start  back up. I finnally found out that i have to drink at least 4 17oz bottles of water a day. to just keep me hydrated.

I got a good nights sleep last night. i didn't feel the greatest when i woke up so i didnt do a morning run. but i did run to town tonight witch is 9 miles. i felt very good about it i was sore so my pace wasn't the greatest but i finished before dark so i felt good about that. i have been eatting alot more since iv been running and water intake is gettting better i still dont drink 4 glasses a day but better than none. we will see what tomorrow will bring.

AM: i couldn't do a morning run again because we found out my great uncle past away last night. so we are cleaning our house like mad because brian and his family are comming for the funeral from Japan. i hope i can run tonight to get a break. i really want to get to 65 miles this week.

PM: well i got my run in tonight it felt good to do but i got very sore and stiff twords the end of the run but i ran through it. i think it is getting easier to run and i have motivation agian to keep running. tomorrow i dont know if i will run becasue i have to clean all day until we go to omaha to pick up brians family from the air port. but i will try to get some kind of run in.

AM: i ran around the section with a 8.50 pace i know its slower than most of my runs but it felt good today. i am going to run that again tonight! to get 8 for today. i didnt make me miles this week i am discuraged but i just need to keep running so get faster for season. but next week i plan to run 50 miles

ran 3 miles out and hit some hills that are by my house then ran 3 back and hit the hills again. it felt good running there but when i turned around to go back i got really tired and my pace slowed down a lot.

AM: i had to drive into town becasue the road was VERY muddy. so i ran about 6 miles in town and at the complex. i even hit some small hills. morning run felt great hope to run tonight.

PM: I GOT TO RUN TONIGHT!! first time in 2 weeks i miss night runs its so nice out and the sunsets are preaty. i decided to go to the track again and to my suprise my football team was conditioning. so i was going to leave but then the coach told me to stay and i could take turns on the track. it was awsome. i felt so fast because i wanted to show off a little to boys and the boys were shoeing off to me it was good for both of us. i needed to run stairs so they let me in when they were doing them. only in Neb. can you let a girl practise with the football team haha. it was great. i think i got about 4 miles in i didnt have a watch tonight so i don't know how much really. but ill go with 4. tyo get an even ten.

WOW! its has been a while since i have been on here. but i am glad to update things. today i had my first day of XC practise it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. we did over distance which for them is 1 mile over oh well at least i am doing more than 2 miles. i felt really good and didnt stop at all on the run. i got permision to run with the boys this year YEAH!! so i stayed up with 2 of them for about 2 miles then i fell off of them. i ran by myself for the rest of the run but i kept pushing so none of the other 8 boys would pass me. i came in 3rd. i would love to stay up with the 2 so that is my goal now.

OK today we only did 2 miles!! that is like a warm up for me. so i am thinking if that happens again  i might run extra to have a good practise. well today we did a mile warm up. then did 10 pergrestions from telephone pole to pole. it was a great workout then did core for 15mins. i can feel it a lot. for a cool down we ran to the campus witch is about .3 miles then i iced.

As i got my computer back after 2 weeks of being worked on i can finnaly update things!! today my xc team ran on the 7sister hills. its about 2.5 miles i did extra so i ran a extra mile out with Jared. so glad they are letting me run with the boys this year!!!  I have a horible cough and it hurt to breath the last 1/2 mile because me throut was dry. I have been getting lots of bloody noses lately also idk why but it must have somthing to do with extreme heat and cold changes every other day. In the past week i have had a xc meet   where i got 3rd. with a time of 21.12 its a good start to the season!! i was in first the first mile then a girl past me i tried to keep up with her but her pace was faster than i wanted to go. at the very end i got past i was kinda bumbed out about it but its the first meet ik now to kick at the end!!!! i have a meet on thursday and the corse does not have many hills. i hope to get a good time. I will update that on thursday!!! Total distance is for the past 4 days combined.

Well i had a XC meet today it was not the best run for me. I have been feeling very very crappy lattly and with the symtoms i have could be very bad strep. and the begining of pneymonia becuse of the the fluild in the lungs. i ran the race and started in front pack of 5 then through out the race i begain to fall back becasue it was hurting to breath. i finished in 5th place with a time of 22.40 which is not the best but the way i feel i think its a nice time. I will sleep alot this weekend and try nebulizer treatments for the fluid in my lungs. i feel very bad right now and i have had a headace for 2 day and nothing will help. hope i get well soon

I had a xc meet today it felt great i ran very well finished with a great kick and never got past!!!! i am starting to feel lots better still hard to breath but its getting much better!!! it was very flat today so my time was very good i got 21.26 min.!!!!!! new personal best so i am very glad to see that!!!!! alll in all the race went very well and nothing really hurts except my sholders and arms. but that will go away i hope by tomorrow.

I found out today that i can run in December finnally i had to take more than a month off because of all my health problems but i am getting better and i can finnally get back in shape. i miss running so much and getting to run in less than a week is very exciting!! track is just around the corner and i WANT TO BREAK 12 mins. i know i can do it!!!!! i just need to work extra hard this season!!! i have been doing little runs to i totaly dont loose everything.
